pocket treasures...

the little guy loves collecting berries. before he came along, i had no idea how many berries were out there.

they're everywhere.

and now, they're in his pockets, too :)

i did it!...

i don't even remember the last time i made a whole piece of clothing...maybe seventh grade sewing class? i think i made my dress for our seventh grade dance. it was peach satin...

well, this is definitely cuter than a peach satin dress with a seventh grade me in it. thanks to a pattern for the 90 minute shirt at MADE...i semi-successfully created a shirt for leo from an old green t-shirt of brian's and an old striped onesie for the trim. it definitely took me quite a bit more time than 90 minutes...but i'm guessing with practice i can whittle down that time. i also had to figure out a way to salvage a pretty cool image on the shirt that i'm hoping to get onto another piece of clothing at some point, so the back piece of the shirt had to be split into two and sewn down the middle. i guess it adds a little character, though.

the shirt's a bit uneven, and i don't have a serger to make those nice edges, but that little guy still looks pretty cute in it...

a little inspiration...

i've had a few minutes to play around on the computer...and browse around...and i'm getting very inspired!

checking out some sites...

made

lil blue boo

and noodlehead

what great ideas on those sites. i definitely will be trying the 90 minute shirt on the made site. brian's just getting rid of some t-shirts that will be perfect additions to leo's wardrobe!

then, my sister (my wonderful, wonderful sister) sent me this video...how powerful it is...and inspiring...and confirming of all the things i do as a mom...everyday...

p.s. that picture up top? leo's first iphone shot :)

some new things...

i finally got around to making just a few things to add to my shop.

i got to use some yummy new fabrics scraps a friend of mine gave me... she sells some beautiful organic nursing covers at KiYaKids.
